We are all familiar with brands such are Kleenex, Coke and Nike. Their names are worth a lot of money, and they have spent a lot of money on those names in advertising. It’s to the point that a large majority of the people in the world recognize those ‘brands’ and buy them as a result.
However, what does the small local business do when it comes to branding? There is no way that they have the kind of budget that big corporations do to market their brand.
First of all, it’s important to realize that for small local businesses, their brand is actually their reputation (at least, this is our opinion). And that is where we believe they should put some of their marketing dollars.
The local marketplace is smaller, and local business generally is not concerned with marketing to the masses. Rather, their concern is building a loyal following locally. For this, building and marketing a great reputation is key.
Of course you have to provide great service and a quality product. When you have that going, people will say good things about you and leave great reviews online about your business.
Now to market that great reputation (brand) you have built, video reviews are a great option. See an example of a client video branding commercial below, using online reviews in a video review format. Pretty powerful don’t you think?
